I always thought home maintenance was no big deal. I mean, I own a condo, how bad could it be?
Well today I decided to try to change my outlet covers and the outlet thingys themselves. They are this pukey off white color and I wanted nice clea white. So I go in the second bedroom where the action is occuring and realize that maybe there should be no electricity since I am trying to detach and reattach wires here. I have the genius idea that if I just turn off all the lights there is no electricity moving around that room. So I sit down on the floor in front of the first outlet and unscrew it from the box inside the wall and then I go to grab the metal part and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....ELECTROCUTION>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I proceed to drop my screwdriver and all materials on the floor and just walk out of the room. Called the dad later and explained and of course, he told me to throw the circuit breaker first, or I could have fried my brains. Clearly there may not that much there to fry anyway!!!

Okay, feeling weird writing a blog for the first time EVER. So I guess I am getting my blog cherry popped right about now. Plus in my line of work, which must remain supersecret, they cannot, and I mean cannot know I have a blog online. They would flip a shit...seriously. So don't pass it on to them if you know who "they" are. Sounding kinda creepy....

Anyway, now that I got that warning out of the way, I wanted to say my sister Claire and my old college roommate, Eve, can do this, than so can I. Of course, I am not as interesting as they are so I am probably the only one who will be reading, but that's cool too.
